Run for Literacy – Re-Scheduled to July 9

Due to the untimely but necessary postponement of the Run for Literacy Marathon Fun Run caused by unrelenting rains, high wind speeds and flooding caused by tropical storm Falcon during the last few days before the event date, for the safety of everyone involved in the event… we decided to move the date to July 9, 5AM same place, Rajah Sulayman in Roxas Boulevard in Manila.

Run for Literacy – Event Posponed due to extremely bad weather

Due to the recent unrelenting rain and bad weather brought by Tropical Storm “FALCON”, Run for Literacy Marathon that is to be held this coming 25th of June is postponed and will be moved to a new date. Please stand by for further announcement.

We are truly sorry and apologize for everyone looking forward to it. But again, due to the current bad weather we decided for the safety of everyone involved we shall move it to a new date.

Run for Literacy is now officially launched!

Millicent Foundation Inc, in partnership with City of Manila, Manila Sports Council, ICCT Colleges, Fucoidan Wellness, Slimming and Rejuvenation Center, San Miguel Corporation, Home Guaranty Corporation, A Fucoidan Brown Seaweed Supplement Capsules, McDonalds, PS Bank, Veterans Bank, The Manila Hotel, Pocari Sweat, Gold’s Gym and our Media Partner Malaya Business Insight bring you “Run for Literacy”. A benefit run to raise funds for the scholars of Millicent Foundation Inc. “Run for Literacy” also aims to raise textbooks to be donated to day care centers in Manila. Participants are requested to donate used and new textbooks.

Mechanics

• Run for Literacy will push thru on Saturday, June 25, 2011 at exactly 5:30am rain or shine
• Participants must be at the venue 30 minutes before the start of the run. They will be asked to convene at the starting line for last minute instructions and warm up exercises
• Paramedics will be on stand by on the route
• Water stations will be strategically located on the route
• First two finishers for each event will be given scholarship prizes.
• Fucoidan gift certificates will be given to runners-up (3rd, 4th and 5th placers for each event).

Participants may submit the application and payment at 3rd Floor Anna Building, Bayani Road, Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City.
